I now own 5 pairs of Odyssey Gen III pants in 3 colors. That by itself should show how much I love them. I hike in them. I hunt in them. I camp in them. I cave in them. I fly in them. I wear them to work as a teacher. I'm wearing some right now as I write this. I can't say enough about the durability and versatility of these pants. I've recommended them to everyone in my family!
One of my pairs is my "cave pants". In the summer I act as a cave guide where I spend 6-8 hours hiking, crawling, sliding, climbing, rappelling and everything else you can imagine doing inside of a cave. It's cold and damp and the limestone rock is incredibly abrasive. That said, my cave pants have now made 7 trips through the Gargantua cave in Alberta. The ONLY signs of those trips is a small tear in one of the knees. Thanks to the Condor kneepads in there though, I didn't notice a thing until I was done. After 2 years, this tear hasn't grown or spread and the pants keep on in my regular rotation.
The things I love most about these and what makes them the ultimate cave pants for me (and I have a PILE of pants I've tried as a guide):
1. Stretch in ALL the right places!! Mobility is key in a cave. Especially in a cold environment where you're wearing layers as well as your climbing harness which can be very restrictive. These pants have give in the perfect places to reduce that restriction and increase efficiency as a climber.
2. Kneepad pockets. Kneepads are a must in a cave, and the built-in pockets and accompanying kneepads are the perfect match for the job. The kneepads conform nicely, even when cold and stiff.
3. Pockets for days!!! When wearing a climbing harness, you instantly lose access to all hip and butt pockets. The thigh pockets are the perfect solution for me and offer the right amount of access and ease of security when wearing gloves.
They have a tight hip area compared to other 30x30 pants I have. Very stretchy to it makes up for it. I would buy 32x30 next time.
Great pants, got 34/32 and they are bit too long so the knee pads I bought don't line up on my knee, should have got 30" length, but I guess that's on me
These pants are personally the best tactical pants I've ever bought. I have them in the flat dark earth color. The gadget pocket is perfect size for your phone. Hangs out just a bit. Great fit in the knees and ankles area too. I wish they had them in khaki or coyote brown. I highly recommend these over any overpriced 5.11 pants. Great light industrial work pants too.
I compered these pants to 5-11 they are very similar and very different at the same time the pockets on the legs are easy to access while sitting and with the stretch capability around the hips make for a very comfortable wear

I bought these when my agency switch from khaki to black. Fit true to size with excellent room for even athletic legs. I had issues with 5.11s. These are a major upgrade to me.

Bought pants to be compatible with the knee pads, I like the pant they fit true to size and they are very stretchy so great for everyday wear
True to size and very much a comfortable fit, pockets have good openings without being too loose. Materials keep you fairly warm as a base layer (still need them long johns under). Seams are all tight and no loose ends🤘🏼

Just didn’t fit so well. A bit baggier than I had hoped. Not for me.
I really like the material and believe they will hold up well. My only complaint is they are not meant for people with large thighs. They are very snug/tight in the groin and thigh area which makes them difficult to use the pockets

I wear these as uniform pants for work in Law Enforcement. The fit is true to size, I ordered 32x32. The material seems to be holding up well so far. I like where the two zipper pockets are - they are high enough that they are easy to reach, but low enough that I can still easily get items in and out with a duty belt on. My one suggestion is that I would like to see a thin snap button or a metal clasp instead of a stud button for comfort under a belt.
My only negative is that they tend to show dirt a lot easier than other uniform pants I have worn in the past.
They are better then 5.11 pants quality is more then othoum, it's really more then good, I'll recommend and definitely buy some more
The condor odyssey pants gen 2 are just so simple, classic, improved, lightweight, stretch ,ergonomic ,nice and engineered with care with a low profile operator in mind,that I bought them in every camo...I bought almost all Condor collection using the same lightweight material.I am wearing them while reviewing them.I wear them everyday and can feel the difference between any other brands on the very actual market.
Pants fit great and are lightweight.
The pants are light weight, durable and look great.
