The Slate finish is not dramatic, but the effect against black or blue is and in a good way. It blends as if it belongs due to the shape and smooth features of the PDQ buckle. The whole on/off and load-out process is standard and takes as long as it does with any other belt. However, I found the actual fabric design itself definitely lent a hand in gliding clips and looped attachments on and off and around. Another pleasant surprise… Get one. Get two.
