Great Chest Rig
Packs ups very small and works great to hold an IFAK and some mags. Also works great with a VAS plate carrier
Used it for a little bit of extra storage on a hike. Great with my small backpack so I can access some tools and kit quickly and not have to remove and dig into my backpack.
This is my second stowaway chest rig. The first one I got in coyote brown and this one in OD green. I use this rig mostly for hiking but it will fit onto a plate carrier that uses the same VAS system. I love the table feature of the rig as it keeps me from spilling all my goods when opening the pouch. I own much Condor gear and love how well it all works together.
I bought this chest rig for use on my hikes and it’s really nice to be able to reach everything without having to fumble taking off a pack.
This rig is perfect for my application of a radio harness. My job as an aircraft fueler is much simpler when I can hold my radio, flashlight, multitool and gloves all in one place. In the photo I am using a Velcro insert from Ferro Concepts inside the rigs kangaroo pocket on the back. I also customized the zipper pulls. I love that the laser cut molle holds my pens!
Love my condor gear
I’m about 280-290 ish and fits great. I also have a IFAK and glove pouch mounted in front and I fit three AK47 mags in the rear. It’s a great quick reaction rig!
Great for use when backpacking - lacks abdomen protection but is great for less tactical times when you want to carry some mags and basic supplies while letting the rest of the body breathe
Good Enough
I truly enjoy this chest right the quality is great and its amazing that it can be a standalone chest rig or attached to a plate carrier. I just wish it came more ready to use out of the box. At the price point compared to other condor chest rigs it is priced more and comes with less . I would like a m4 mag insert include or even a couple Velcro pouches. This way it can be used on a more tactical level with out having to purchase more. I also wish it was compatible with more of the Vas attachments like the zipper.
Perfect for hunting, hiking, camping, running, and anything out door. Fits tools and some small tablets/GPS units as well as subcompact pistols with lights. The inner zipper pouch is handy to separate your documents from your main pouch. The back velcro panel in the pouch could be a second zipper compartment in my opinion.
For us big guys though (I am 6'10", 370lbs) it is slightly tight in the shoulders. The bottom waste belt does not fit my core. And the option to wear it under a coat is not applicable. However, it fits right so the bottom strap isnt needed, it doesnt sit directly under your chin like most rigs like this does, and its extremely lightweight so theres no digging into the shoulders even when carrying 17lbs of tools and equipment. I would recommend this to someone my size and physique.
I use thus chest rig at work. I work in the powder coating department. Often I'm hanging parts on the trolley. The chest rig is great for keeping everything i need on me for fast access. Also plan on using this while on the trails. It's nice that it will clip onto the VAL Plate Carrier.
Overall great chest rigs. Small and lightweight and doesn’t get in the way. Condors quality seems to continually increasing. Could be a little deeper of a pouch but definitely great for its size.
This stowaway chest rig is great overall. Small and lightweight but still able to be used as a stripped down kit. The interals could be a little bigger but there is room to add an extra pouch or a drop down pouch.
This rig is the perfect size for me as a female HRD K9 Handler, I can have the most important gear for my K9 inside and have my mollie packs on the front. Along with my K9s water dish and her reward toy.
Its outstanding. Im ALMOST too big for it, but this will be real convenient for me while out hunting coyote on the ranch!
As a larger man (5’ 9”, 290lbs) this chest rig fits comfortably. For context I usually wear 3XL-4XL T-shirts and with the rig straps at their longest I have no problem buckling up the straps. The pack itself has good versatility with its Velcro panel and zippered pocket. I like the subtle molle on the front to add other small holsters or pouches.
Perfect for running or hiking or just everyday stuff
Had to make some adjustments to get it to work with my backpack but we figured it out!
Everybody needs one even grandma.
The harness is super uncomfortable and the pouch itself is bulkier than it needs to be beacuse of the velcro backing. Tried using as a ccw bino harness but its just too bulky.
Durable, great design, roomy & fits well including the waist strap
Love the simplicity of this rig. Has become a regular piece of gear for my training. Works great for multiple load outs.
Comfortable fit, easy to take off and put on. Makes for a great range rig.
I was in the market for a micro rig and I am amazed to see how Condor has evolved over the years by listening to its customer and constantly raising the quality of their products.
I’m very satisfied with my stow away rig. It keeps everything I need handy and ready to use.
I’ve paid way more for gear that didn’t feel that great back then and I’m very happy with my purchase.
The Stowaway chest rig is exactly what I wanted but,
I’m 6’0 and 225lbs. The rig fits fine with the straps adjusted to their maximum when I’m wearing only a shirt. If I need to wear it with heavier layers, I’m going to have to stitch added length to the straps. I can do this but I wish the rig came with an option for longer strap adjustment. I wear size XL. I don’t think a big guy could wear this rig without modifications.
Otherwise, thanks for a great product
Used it on a 3 day backpacking trip to carry my gun, Fite starter, knife, key fob. Worked well. No issues. Comfortable, tough, dependable. Plan on using this as a radio harness for the summer touring season. Should fit extra cable jumpers, ethercon barrels, torch, hearing protection.
